Therapeutic Approach

I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist (License #98885) and am passionate about my profession. I see my role as a therapist to be working with you, to help you find and follow your path and live your most authentic life.

A key factor to growth and change is healthy attachment. One of the major goals of our work will be to help you improve your relationships in all areas of your life: with yourself, partners, co-workers, friends, and family. My conceptional viewpoint is from an internal family systems, attachment, trauma-informed, systems lens that takes into consideration your uniqueness and your personal attributes.

I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families; as well as people of various ages, genders, religions, and sexual orientations.

Therapeutic Services

The decision to seek therapy is not easy and choosing a therapist often takes time and effort as you look to find the right fit for your personal journey.

Much of my work has been with brave, caring, creative individuals who have experienced trauma. Trauma can take many forms and impacts lives throughout the lifespan. As people enter different phases of life from living independently, to living with a partner, to having a child, changing jobs, etc. past experiences impact present lives. Trauma tends to leave people feeling wounded, alone, isolated, and incomplete.

We all have internalized thoughts and feelings which can lead to contradictory and conflicting feelings and emotions which leave people feeling frustrated, angry, depressed, anxious, or stuck. For example, part you may want to eat a candy bar and part of you may want to lose weight. Part of you may love your partner and want to work on improving the relationship; and another part of you may feel angry, hurt, or offended by your partner and may be thinking to end the relationship. I have found that helping people to get to know these internalized parts allows self-compassion and self-energy to grow, which ultimately leads to a better relationship to self and others.

I look forward to working with you to help you follow your unique path to discover the most in-self/whole, relationally connected life possible for you!
